itunes has stopped making automatic backups of 3rd-generation 64 gb ipod touch. don't know when happened, i'm guessing it's time after june 12, 2010 - that's when last backup occurred.
noticed because ipod went haywire told restore... , save games went missing after restore because hadn't backed in 2 years(!).
it's set "back computer" (not icloud) , backs if right-click on ipod , click "back up" on own.
fwiw, ipod has ios 5.1 now, , mac (a 2007 macbook pro 2.2 ghz 3 gb ram) running os x 10.7.3 , itunes 10.6 64-bit. (although... has had older versions since it's been going on long).
