when i've finished imovie projects want save in highest possible .mov format can watch on macbook, use ps3 video 9 convert ps3 readable .mp4 file, therefore don't see point in finalizing project saves file formats , assume tak more storage space. however, when going through imovie says:-
"when youre finished creating project, can finalize it. process, imovie prepares (renders) movie in of possible sizesmobile, medium, large, hd 720p, , hd 1080pthat projects media supports. (sometimes, original project media isnt large enough render in largest sizes.) dont see finalized files in imovie; rather, imovie uses files when share project mobileme or social media website such facebook or youtube. when finalize project in advance, process of sharing movie takes less time.
finalizing project improves full-screen playback because imovie uses rendered files when play project in full-screen mode."
i'm interested in last sentence i've highlighted. mean playback through imovie improved, or see difference when playing saved file, and/or when playing on ps3?
cheers.
i don't know "finalisation" in imovie, when finish edit, export final sequence using editing codec template other applications.
in imovie go share > export using quicktime , click options
