Apple's iPad trademark dispute in China

still seeing on news (e.g. engadget today brought again), thought you'd see pertinent info:

high court of hong kong: apple vs proview

apple paid £35,000 (about $55,000) ipad trademark proview electronics. purchase agreement said proview electronics owned trademarks (including chinese one), , able sell them.

apple later found mistake in contract (the trademark assigned parent proview, not proview electronics). proview's $10m figure chinese trademark about thousand times higher apple paid worldwide rights.

not that, when @ court document in more detail, it's clear proview can't defend case. arguments "clearly inadmissible". judge's verdict:

these guys such blatent , obvious trolls, there's no way apple going lose fight. given yang declared bankrupt , representing himself (although failed show), it's obvious these guys trying put media pressure on apple settle , move press on.
