hi, i'm wordpress beginner. have self hosted blog using free theme available @ time. did search , found author has 2.0 version available purchase. i'd buy , upgrade worry losing stuff on blog.
understanding upload zip file wordpress. think make available me choose, along whatever other themes available me.
if switch 2.0 version, posts should okay because they're stored in different file, right? widgets? deleted? in current theme there's no automatic upgrade button, worry not upgraded correctly (chateau theme) posts' featured images, etc or banner picture, favicon. worrying nothing? can give me advice?

when switch upgraded theme may have manually customize widgets again believe there options put old widgets sidebars of new theme under widgets menu
don't overwrite current theme new theme; use different folder name example
