ok bought powermac g5 dual 2.7, in april of 2005. used logic pro. had 3gb's of ram , used 3 years no problems. until airplane mode stuff started happening. , kept getting worse until never turned on. time late 2009. , couldnt afford fix it.
haven't touched since month ago. got urge making music, because have never stopped if working. did little research here , there, , came conclusion logicboard. found logic board on ebay pretty cheap, 80 bux.
got logicboard, opened case, pulled out power supply , whoa..... liquid coolant mania. time, didn't know this. coolant crept logic board , processor power supply. spread cancer everything.
did research , found health hazard , apple should responsible take care of this. called , told me take nearest mac certified repair , take care of charges. did, , spoke repair guys , confirmed me able fix it.
im on mission out of baby. bought 8gb of ram (max), bought x800 xt mac version, highest rated video card powerpc g5's, , im on hard drives , going buy firmtek seritek/1eve2+2
4 port 1.5gb/s esata pci / pci-x host adapter , allows me put 4 ssd's on it. im starting off 2 120b ssd's.
project, excited this. there else recommend? again, using music projects , video editing.

apple paying coolant system repair far out of warranty???
also, if don't need external sata ports think can 4 port internal seritek card cheaper. http://firmtek.stores.yahoo.net/sata1v4.html
thing should fly ssds in it.
coolant isn't different automotive coolant believe, no imminent health hazard really... unless have curious dog.
