How do I clone (backup) an external drive?

hello all,

i've got 3tb external drive full of media have converted movie collection. i've spent lot of time converting , tagging everything, have in 1 place.. no backup. how go cloning/backing external drive? i've got second drive , i'm downloading carbon copy cloner @ moment. tool use? make exact backup of external drive?

i'd hate lose data!

yes ccc or super duper clone drive. idea backing btw
