grrr...macs no longer seeing each other on a local network

i had twx come , replace cable modem/router sporadically dropping off connection. came , dropped arris cable modem/router/phone modem in place.

works fine computers no longer see each other on local network. no idea why. no settings on of macs have changed. i've turned off firewall on modem, combed through instruction manual...i dont think have add mac address or computers see/talk each other if on same network?

idea can cause this?

 

what ip addresses of computers? in 169.xx.xx.xx range?

of computers able connect router, i.e. connect and/or login router's web page , check connection status or perform configuration?
