hey i've been thinking getting newest apple tv recently, i'm concerned how university's wifi affect it.
way roommate's dad explained there tons of different wifi ports , connections in school, , each computer/tablet/game console/device connects whatever available @ time of connecting. reason, can't use remote app mbp because they're on different ports @ different times, despite being on same network.
atv doesn't have hulu+ built in, , want connect mbp/ipad atv (airplay mirroring think it's called?) watch community or something.
know if whole thing going affected wifi situation here @ school remote app is? whole point of me getting atv being able cancel stupidly expensive xbox live account , still watch netflix/hulu, , begin digitize movie collection
but don't want spend money if it's not going work @ school.
here's question: there sharing allowed on university network? know many big networks use technology isolates devices in order increase security , performance. i'm not sure quite friend's dad talking about, seems feasible since don't have hundreds of libraries available share in itunes. however, given computer ,
tv in same region, connecting same access point. recommendation check if can share other devices in same area mbp. if sharing works, may alright, though i'm not sure how performance be.
