Airport Card?

i have first generation mac pro , in need of airport card. wondering cards work (i.e model numbers, part numbers?). if search ones mac pros expensive, if listed imac or macbooks, etc. cheaper. can use 1 different computer? and, lastly, i've seen pci-e broadcom cards hp , other manufacturers, work? lot, trying decent , reasonable price.
