Upgrading to Lion w/ InstallESD.dmg from harddrive

hi everyone,

possible copy file desktop, unpack dmg , click "install mac os x lion"?

kept file clean instal want upgrade friends mbp.

i've searched on net can find how "clean" install. have no spare flash drives format if can upgrade opening package on desktop, awesome.

why can't friend download lion him/herself via mac app store (mas)?
