Upgrading from Macbook Pro. Questions!

i've prioritised bit , decided sell 2010 mbp , buy new imac. few questions!

-this mbp 2.6ghz i7 (dual core). i'd base 21" imac quad core i5. there performance increase here mbp?

-i've noticed gpu same t ones put in notebooks @ moment. how fare light gaming (world of warcraft, tf2 etc)?

-i'll using music editing (orchestral, hdd intensive). choice?

offtopic, i'm selling current mbp , i've advertised including student warranty (uk educational purchases include 3 years standard). still valid next owner? apple still offer warranty plan 2012 purchases?

hope people can give me insight thanks!

 

barely upgrade. more "up-right"

can things listed have done them on laptop well. faster hd, faster processor. games listed should fine no battlefield 3 , highish settings you.
