i don't want smaller ipad - want smaller iphone

iphone great phone, net surfer, communicator, network status update device, assistant et al.

but, problem cannot hold in 1 hand , type, thumb/finger scenario still big, distance still far unless you're basketball player incredibly long fingers.

love see iphonemini, 0.5"/1" smaller screen size, still retina display

thoughts please?

if anything, iphone benefit increase in size. feels cramped @ times in hand , have normal sized hands
