Writing Scientific Papers on a Mac

hey guys,
i've owned mac many years , guess consider myself 'mac-savvy.' university student, , conducting research project in parasitology semester. @ end of project, have write scientific paper - question is, there programs out there allow me this?

downloading mactex - know has decent layouts/templates scientific papers - wanted know if has used else style of writing (other word) or if there out there more simplistic interface (over tex)

the vast majority of scientific papers submitted in microsoft word format. popular among physical scientists , mathematicians latex. publications accept wordperfect documents.

having said that, operating false premise. virtually application can print text on paper can used write scientific paper. not issue. issue accepted publisher. read submission guide in copy of journal(s) expect publish paper. may find these guidelines on journals' websites.

2 additional words of advice:

1. do not violate guidelines.
2. whichever format publication requires, submit paper after preview in native application format. example--it may ok compose paper in pages. if do, final edits in word prior submission.
