Will iTunes sync audiobook location between two Macs?

i listen audiobooks. narrate them actually. have 2 macs , iphone. getting books on iphone not problem syncing play location between macs problematic. wondered if 1 here knew of solution? i'm running 10.6 on both of macs no real desire upgrade 10.7--unless icloud solve problem.
