What's your take on a CS degree?

aside when 2012 mbp comes out biggest worry in life go uni/ don't need uni question.

situation:
-i have applied universities , have received 3 offers computer science (aberdeen, edinburgh, glasgow)
-i have done quite lot of programming of age
-i quite sure if want work in computing

question forum is:
-have experience share cs degree?
-are employer? how employers value degree opposed experience?
-any general suggestions (such as: repost this, articles etc.)

think want work in computing industry.

have tried keep post short possible , happy provide more information if @ all.

at least in us, unless lucky or know right people, you're not going job in programming out of college without degree.

went college 4 years management , information sciences degree , in 4 years, didn't learn didn't know going college, don't think i'd have job in field without it.
