recently sold off powerbook g4 , looking new main computer. though still debating, i'm leaning towards imac due screen size/value; portability convenient, not necessity i'm willing shell out right now. budget bit on 1k.
used design/photo (cs5, autocad, aperture, etc), web browsing, , possibly casual gaming. tend switch between multiple programs quite often, 27'' screen preferred.
last few years, i'm curious specs should @ minimum. 2.7 ghz i5 enough, or need i7 @ least 3.0ghz? @ least 6750 graphics card 27'' option.
interested in going refurb route save few dollars. have been considering ebay, it's crapshoot far price , buying seller concerned. interested in hearing other options , possibly should in minimum specs.
