i have macbook air end 2011. have connected "mini display port hdmi cable" tv.
tv recognising mac tv screen has generic apple (milky way) screen wallpaper , 3 of files displayed ...very odd!! regular desktop not displayed on tv?
suspect there in mac preferences/settings have adjust... what??
help???
system preferences > displays >> arrangement >>> mirror displays (but know, display lowest resolution determines maximum resolution used on both, 1 display have lower native resolution, except when both displays have same native resolution)
or drag windows want onto tv. acts extension set up.
