Location Based Reminders can't get to work

i trying use siri create reminders based on arriving @ location doesn't work - siri doesn't seem know contact located.
how doing it.

@ location, open g maps , ensure arrow @ current location.
tap arrow , click add contacts
give name such 'my offfice'.
shows small map icon in contacts app.

doesn't work.
have read somewhere have use icloud syncing cal/contacts using gmail.
problem ?
'when leave here' works fine , albeit bit delayed.

 

i think might because way call contact "my" something. siri knows when goes , looks @ contact , looks label within contact named office. try adding address contact , calling work. think saying work should work then. or call else without my.
