Help! Ibook g4 stuck on startup screen!!

hello all,
have ibook g4 1 ghz ppc processor 1.25gb ram, 80gb hd. had mac os x 10.4.11 installed , going great. made iso of mac os x 10.5 install dvd , wanted boot iso on ibook. opened disk utility (this think went wrong) , restored macintosh hd iso. instantly after doing computer crashed, , not log on past startup screen (apple logo, spinning wheel). have restore dvd panther , have 1 of two. have tried repairing disk using disk utility no luck. when choose startup disk gives 3 options
1. mac os x 10.3.3 on ibook software
2. mac os x 10.5.1 on macintosh hd (selected default)
3. network startup

have tried restarting , won't start up. can't figure out why mac os x 10.4.11 doesn't come option startup disk?
have 3 main questions:
1. did me restoring hdd mac os x 10.5.1 delete mac os x 10.4.11?
2. can delete mac os x 10.5.1 , old mac os x 10.4.11 back?
3. buying leopard install dvd (like 1 http://www.ecrater.com/p/11547610/apple-macbook-mac-os-x-1052-leopard) computer in shape?
don't have lot of experience in troubleshooting macs , appreciated. please let me know if posting in wrong spot, or if need more information.
thank in advance,

i'd overwrote 10.4 incorrect installed 10.5 (*doh*).

buying leopard dvd , doing clean install should trick, i'm not sure if 10.5 right choice such lowspec unit.

ibook (1.33ghz,1.5gb radeon9550) ppc (out of many) kept tiger .....
