thunderbolt display doubt ...

my dad has macbook air 11 2010, , have 2011 i5 model.

thinking of getting thunderbolt display use @ home.

11 air thunderbolt out know perfect match display. works display/pci.

dad's 2010 has not thunderbolt out..

question is, can 2010 air run thunderbolt display external monitor ?

know ports on display wont work, can used external display on 2010?

ask because on sites, people says works, , says doesn't...

have on here tried thunderbolt display 2010 air?
