Losing email on computer

i got ipad on march 17 , set 2 work email accounts on it.

i've had iphone since november 5 email accounts on it. read , reply download eudora when laptop.

last weekend away ipad , phone. had dozen emails in accounts. monday afternoon had laptop sitting open on desk. collects mail every 5 minutes. walked away bit , while gone collected email , filtered everything, opening folders got mail.

imagine shock when saw 1 of work accounts had lost emails friday on!

tried test sending email work account, reading on ipad , seeing happened. came in fine, disappeared on ipad when downloaded email computer, , still sits on computer.

sitting @ job , again left laptop open (maybe shouldn't unless sitting @ lol). come find emails last night , morning account gone again! still have test sent myself yesterday. other that, gone. it's not trashed (i blamed cat walking across keyboard , deleting all, i've searched entire computer , eudora no avail).

these include emails got last night , morning, , replied laptop. replies still in outbox. deleting these emails. didn't use ipad since last night , not using either. maybe it's phone acting up? still on ios 5.0

have settings set delete mail on server, save option not checked on personalities.

ideas? it's driving me crazy. i'm not sure if it's ios problem or eudora.

running eudora 6.2.4 on macbook 10.5.8

what type of account?

might sound dumb question but:

type of work accounts using? if pop 3 accounts, when messages downloaded server computer, messages deleted on server. delete messages on ipad , iphone, happens because mail accounts sent on ipads , iphones imap.
