Various Artist Album Ipod Problem, Help?

so downloaded free 30 track album, each artist different 1 each track , when put on itunes, showed different covers, because of different artists fixed making compilation on itunes shows 1 album, in ipod, stay on artists tab, , shows 30 different artists, , don't want that, of course if go more.. can go compilations , there or go albums , 1 album unfortunately on artist, know how can fix that, putting artist various artist or name of album or whatever, still keep original artist name displays when playing on ipod, if saying, sorry long post, , whoever helps me
