Replacing the DVD drive with an SSD

should go sata-2 or sata-3? dvd connector support sata-3?

 

depending on model, supports either or s-ata 1.5 gbps (s-ata i), if have 2007 mbp example.
check system profiler > hardware > serial-ata , see yourself.
2011 mbps have s-ata 6.0 gbps (s-ata iii) interfaces odd.
