Projector?

hi there,

i've got older dlp projector (optoma h30) i'd hooked watching downloaded movies , streamed content. problem is, inputs analog only, vga-a/v-svideo question sort of multifaceted.

1. i'm using 11" mba , tbd primary pc. if purchase mini displayport vga adapter , hook thunderbolt display's tb port, there way can toggle between external monitors within osx? if going watch movie, go system preferences , switch exterbal monitor on projector, or need physically switch cables each time mba?

2. better off getting apple tv , trying use digital analog adapters down projector? i've heard that's not great way go.

3. other ideas?

i'd rather have more modern digital option, have gear , hate see go waste. once it's setup, it's pretty fantastic watch movies on.

insight can provide!

edit: here's info on projector.

you can't daisy chain minidisplay port thunderbolt (i.e. plugging in mini displayport device thunderbolt display won't work, device plug in has thunderbolt too).

you're best off getting mini displayport vga adapter, , unplugging thunderbolt display , plugging in projector each time want watch movie.

don't buy apple tv , hook non-hd projector. you'd better off investing in new projector that's hd. not cheapest option though.
