Smart cover with new iPad not flush against screen

i ordered leather smart cover new ipad , doesn't press flush against screen when attached in closed position. works fine in of other positions looks difference in curve on of ipad might contributing this?

else have problem or have bad smart cover.

 

first i've heard of problem. can post pic?
