MBA 2010 Can't Erase/Partition corrupt internal SSD

i unable boot. tried recovery partition tools starting first aid no avail.

decided erase , reinstall os x lion. unable far.

1. tried erasing volume macintosh hd. volume erase failed error: file system formatter failed.

2. tried erase 121.33 gb apple ssd. disk erase failed error: couldn't unmount disk.

disk mounted since recovery partition i'm using. so...

rebooted os x lion installation external usb drive (no problems), retried , got result: disk erase failed error: unable write last block of device.

3. if try partition 121.33 gb apple ssd get: parrtition failed error: unable write last block of device.

thought use superduper or ccc clone (repaired) image of ssd when launch either program not see 121.33 gb apple ssd route leads dead end also.

4. tried using disk utility restore function using variety of sources , following error: error (22) occurred while copying. (invalid argument)

out of ideas. can't take ssd out of macbook air , put external enclosure , try formatting. can't use internet installation method since 2010, , not 2011 macbook air.

did lot of googling , tried lot of suggestions far i'm stopped dead in tracks. able boot macbook air using external drive , recovery partition usable, either on external drive or internal ssd.

ideas appreciated. i'm out of warranty , out of ideas.

ssd failure

hardware diagnostics tests passed. unable diagnose further, , made appointment meet folks @ apple genius bar.

confirmed suspicion have defective ssd or ssd controller. mba lasted 88 days beyond 1 year warranty.

i've never had drive fail on me , given first ssd, i'm frankly surprised , disappointed. further details on futile attempt mount, partition , 0 out drive available here:
