Do you think will see a difference between 720p and 1080p with the new iPad?

hi, honest question

awhile when purchasing first hdtv became aware of whole 720 vs 1080p thing. @ time wasn't able notice differences in video quality. new ipad think there noticeable differences? looking @ device closer our hdtvs , ipad native resolution 1536p more doubling 720p.
