Couple of Questions regarding iPhone eBay Auction

winner of above auction. i've wanted original iphone in mint condition , finding 1 had never been activated pleasant bonus.
question is, such iphone, running on original firmware at&t activate new service?
also, i'd assume, unless firmware updated 3.1.3 itunes applications not load- music , possibly podcasts.
i'd never update firmware i'd think cool run original... leading last question.
activating take away value- down road, assuming there collector base these things?
i'd imagine should leave alone wanted opinions.

 

personally, leave untouched if you're gonna leave point down line.

massively more appealing collectors hasn't been used, , not being activated show hasn't being used. make them more confident speak.
