Can't transfer music from iTunes on old iBook G4 to iPhone

i have old ibook g4, running 10.4.11. have music in itunes 9.2.1 on ibook want transfer iphone (running ios 4.0.2).

idea how can this? there other software/ apps help?the ibook doesn't recognise iphone.

mac os 10.5.8 needed sync ios 4.0 or higher device. you'll have update ibook leopard before it'll work.
