why get a developers account? please tell me good and bad points

hi, interested in getting developers account before wanted know getting myself into
whats , against argument? software/drivers work new mountain lion developers preview?
hope can answer question.

 

unless developer, don't bother developer account. suppose have 1 computer , become developer , new build wrecks computer - do now?

developer accounts fine if have multiple systems , developer , can deal possible bad builds , driver issues , have multiple backups.

don't go off thinking can developer account , mac run mountain lion , great.
