did full rip using ripit , see using os x's dvd player app subtitles indeed accessible.
plan convert smaller file suitable itunes , our apple tv 3 (the film standard definition though) , want know if must burn subtitles images in conversion, or if there way can convert using handbrake create file can streamed our apple tv , give 'option' of viewing subtitles rather forcing it.
i've browsed around on handbrake forums, here, , other places via google, honest, getting conflicting , confusing answers.
help?
only way know of doing "soft" subtitles (ones can turned on/off) using handbrake make separate subtitle file , add video file (on subtitles tab). it's doing srt problematic. there programs read digital subtitle info , convert separate file. understanding require spelling correction , position correction. also, using handbrake add sub file not allow edit sync of sub video.
way have done download srt file movie various websites. use in either handbrake (no sync adjustment) or use subler add srt file. subler, if sync off, can set offset make adjustment. of course, don't know sync until after have finished muxing movie , check it. muxing of srt mp4 comparatively quick (approx. 15m?).
know there other programs similar subler, free, people use. way of doing it.
