Firefox using large amounts of RAM at startup

hi, all. updated firefox 9 , whenever start up, uses around 200 mb of ram 1 tab open. i've tried clearing history, cache, cookies. i've reinstalled different versions of browser. can't figure out reason is. opinions on whether issue related lion or issue firefox itself?

there's nothing wrong. 200mb of ram isn't out of line browser. besides, you're not paging out @ , have plenty of available memory, why worry it? mac os x manages memory quite well, without need user involvement.
