yes, know. "should buy imac?" thread , of people here might tired of people asking same question think it's input different sources.
i've been doing research , i'm aware new refresh should coming sometime year. i'm pc user switching mac want @ least holds me 3-5yrs. i've never been type want own latest , greatest unless worth i'm fine buying last year's model , getting refurbed 1 save bucks. guess dilemma wondering if new 1 worth wait. don't want buy mac new 1 have way more extras 1 bought. couple things here , there, live with, example 2010 model compared 2011. not sure want guinea pig , test out new , revamped product that's full of bugs them refresh , fix them midway through year , repackage refreshed version.
1 more thing. typically when new products roll out, apple reduce prior models in price significantly? example couple of refurbed imacs looking @ are:

and
refurbished imac 27-inch 2.7ghz quad-core intel core i5

if wait bit longer, possible 27" drops below $1400 or should pull trigger , now? hp desktop on it's last leg might able pull through month or 2.
i bought refurb 27" exact config quoted.
first timer switching pc.
i'm thrilled it, , forum clue refurb systems, wouldn't have expected such deal.
pc i7 gaming box, , screamed, i'm done gaming , other productivity programs work with, i'm mac.
there alway faster (slightly faster) machine on horizion .. unless announced major overhaul, saw no reason wait. didn't seem 2010 models on site discounted further ..
