AEBS Setup Help

i'd start apologizing n00b questions i'm not @ wifi stuff.

picked new aebs last night , ran home, literally, set up. i'm no networking whiz, "it works" comments, read online figured should no-brainer... until i've been using modem/router provided twc (netgear cgd24g)... home, unbox, plug in , notice netgear has coax , 4 lan ports. plug aebs 1 of lan ports , seems working ok.

when searching new wifi signal find both netgear , aebs signals. can connect either , access the internet. wasnt sure if somehow diminish signal strength of aebs tried logging netgear portal disable wireless signal, can see, there no way this.

can explain best set current gear. or, should have twc provide dedicated modem?

thanks!

this shouldn't affect signal strength on extreme, unable use mac or turn on guest network on extreme since in bridge mode. if don't plan on using either of 2 functions, don't foresee ill-effects way things currently. need contact isp see disabling signal modem/router if still want to, or put bridge mode can use btmm or guest network on extreme.
