Strange sound coming from my MacBook

over last 2 months have been hearing strange sound coming mac.
(the sound uploaded here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz0smr9rm-a

if nothing macbook , sitting there make ting sound randomly every 20-30-40 minutes or so.

sound has been here month now. tried restarting comp , doesn't help. tried shutting down , keeping off on 24hrs, , didnt either.

below screenshot of activities. there suspicious here?

if have quicktime player x (comes mac os x 10.6 , 10.7), open it, go file > new audio recording , record , trim , save file , upload somewhere or compress via finder , attach .zip next post (max file size 1.4 mb or so).

, when in activity monitor, though not help, unless sound comes speakers:

have @ activity monitor (applications / utilities /) , select all processes , sort cpu see culprit may be.
check "system memory" tab see "page ins:", "page outs:" , "swap used:" are.
