iMessage oddity on iPad2

when first started using imessage on ipad2/wifi worked fine. 1 day stopped working no apparent reason. 1 day intentionally drained battery entirely recalibrate it. , once recharged, imessage magically started working fine again. worked expected 10 days, stopped again no apparent reason.

ideas?

 

does happen @ every wifi spot visit, or @ home?

if latter, try hard reset of modem/router clear out cobwebs.
