i have d-link dir-615 router , there ethernet port in room connected 1 of router's lan ports. it's stowed away in closet wi-fi signal abysmal @ areas of house. have spare smc router , use way expand wi-fi range connecting ethernet port.
no, i'm not talking amplifying pre-existing wi-fi signal add network can wireless in room. still stuck ethernet.

you not want separate network; want use router access point existing network. routers have "access point" or "bridge" mode in settings.
