Trying to add Snow Leopard..both drives don't use "GUID partition table".... SOS

just upgraded internal drive size in imac 6.1 3tb.
had partition (partition 1) , did swap out of data old disc new larger one.

went upgrade snow leopard , (currently on 10.5.8) , both external wd 2tb drive , new internal 3tb drive have " ! " showing on both drives.
go discutility , can't erase new internal disc , start again.
wont show many options looks it's sorta locked out touching?
external wd drive more open , partitioned requires deletion of data on drive...not that.

needed have clicked on "guid partition table" when first set new internal drive ???

can guys point me in direction can on track , move forward lion after sn in set?

add sl old mac disc , clone data onto larger drive....hmmm don't think old mac drive has enough space left.
