Resale Value: High End vs. Base Model

i considering upgrading imac next generation if comes out soon. debating between base 21.5" model , high end 27" model , in between both new , refurbished.

thinking getting base model because feel depreciate least amount on time when want sell , upgrade again. let's base model ($1,199) goes down 25% in value in 3 years , high end model ($1,999) same. mean 300 loss in base model , 500 loss in high end model.

else overanalyze purchase this? advice.

 

resale pretty on high end try upgraded high end because tends better, believe upgraded high ends still selling 1800 of last years model year , half old , used computer pretty good,

resale because of apples prices being sky high ram if load 167gb of samsung ram u have higher resale value little out of pocket
