i'm looking gain lot more knowledge in passing ignorance of compiler arguments , commands, , thought best way start tweak compiler instructions in xcode 4.2 , see how affects feeding gcc/clang.

if have correct understanding of you're trying achieve:
compile -v -wall

give verbose output of compiler doing.
