i have 15" mid 2010 macbook pro. couple months ago, computer started crapping out , every time tried turn on hear 3 beeps. knew issue ram, never got around dealing until (i have macbook air use 99% of time.)
anyways, today decided open macbook pro , remove , reinsert ram cards. after doing this, computer boot up, screen color off. areas of screen supposed dark have green horizontal lines on them, , areas supposed white there pink vertical lines (see picture) ran apple hardware test, along test memory, , nothing came wrong. in fact, other screen issue computer running perfectly. if screen shot of afflicted areas , open picture on air, picture perfect, screen looking normal. haven't had chance connect external monitor, i'm going pick necessary cables tomorrow.

question is, issue screen? or perhaps faulty video card?
if screen, i'm fine using desktop computer monitor, if video card, option replacing logic board correct? taking time read this.
numerous people have had issue before, it's unfortunately going hardware problem. if try going system preferences, , changing colour profiles , resolutions, problem go away? odd driver issue, it's worth try.
