iphone 4s with no sound from speakers when playing media

i have iphone 4s 8 months old. can hear music when headphones plugged in. time sound out of speakers when recieve phone call have checked volume settings etc.any suggestions? media play thru headphones

 

the phone has been out 5 months... regardless, should under warranty. why not take in apple?
