iPad, iphone and iMovie - some questions

i've been reading conflicting info on this, thought i'd ask on here...

plan buy new ipad @ point in future, number of reasons, 1 of them being use imovie edit videos/photos taken on both ipad itself, taken on iphone 4. work things shot on iphone?

guess photos automatically transferred iphone ipad photostream, assume videos won't be?? if use 1 of file transfer apps available, imovie on ipad see it? i've read reports of seeing videos taken on ipad?? i'm hoping isn't case! expect work videos/pics ios device??

(if there's better way transfer videos, i'm ears!)

if can indeed i'd above, able end product onto dvd somehow??

advice appreciated,

 

photosync transfer video 1 other (via bt or wifi).

using exact reason.
