i have purchased new apple tv 2 , have connected , works ok except unable play sound through denon s-301 home theatre play through tv speakers via hdmi connection, play sound through home theatre system seem unable work through optical digital connection, old apple tv ok had phono connections 2nd gen not,can please me.
i have denon receiver , atv2 optical out works fine. should check have set right input, , if may have defective apple tv. no reason shouldn't work.
