Help deciding on iMac

i have decided im going sell tb display , mbp in sig imac. dilemma is;

1. should buy or give few more months refresh?
2. i bought mbp last may, should purchase apple care before sell it?
3. will make easier sell and/or increase value?

i've never sold mac before , mbp first ever mac.
