HELP! cant connect iphone 3gs to macbook

so title says all
iphone refuses connect computer.
cable works fine when use charge iphone on wall nothing happens on macbook...not little beep.
tried reinstall itunes im afraid didn't work.
kinda know iphone dying if find way @ least save music , photos...
or of course ideally miracle solution problem!
