i'm going have replace ball joints on upper , lower control arms 1997 ford f-150 4x4. ordered moog upper control arm assembly , lower ball joint if you're curious. anyways figured since have pull shocks repair , worn out should go ahead , replace them.
i'm having heck of time trying decide on brand. know want firm ride of monotube. however, i'm trying decide on kyb monomax, monroe reflex , gabriel max control. each seems have vocal advocates on different forums. figured it'd great hear fellow macrumors members on have found best.
know of more premium brands bilstein don't have lift kit or off-roading. unless can come compelling reason spend $120.
i'm interested in hearing members have had these shocks couple years (30,000+ miles). i've read of few of people complaining monroe's don't last long.
far i'm leaning towards kyb monomax not certain. within $30 of each other full set price isn't factor. don't want have replace them again long while. plus want firmer ride stop 1 legging when lightly hit gas while turning on wet road.
