Convert seeking help

hi,
couple of years ago returned dell xps macpro tower , part have been happy change, of problems i'm dealing getting frustrating.

-is there knows how configure gpu [nvidia quadrofx 4800] deal software that's opengl dependent? main ones use:
--photoshop
--blender
--afterfx
--maya

-i love spaces mouse gave ability open space selector. doesn't matter mouse button mapped, doesn't respond, nor space preferences save keyboard input 'to switch between spaces', strange since works.... ??? strange!
