at&t today officially announced offer wi-fi + 4g models of new ipad through sales channels beginning friday, march 16, in line apple's official launch. announcement of course no surprise given past history , information page has been available on carrier's site since after device's introduction, carrier has made official plans make device available through sales channels including online , in-store.the carrier offers 3 monthly data plans ipad, 250 mb plan $14.99, 3 gb plan $30, , $5 gb plan $50. plans commitment-free , include access on 29,000 at&t wi-fi hotspots around united states.
at&t has not yet made announcements on whether plans support personal hotspot functionality of new ipad, things stand feature not included in at&t's data plans. verizon, presumably announcing similar launch plans friday, will offering personal hotspot connectivity part of data plans @ no additional charge.
