digitimes notes orders 13.3" macbook pro "far higher" of 15" model, though without frame of reference typical mix of apple notebook sales, it's hard gauge significance of observation.
april timing falls nicely reports of new intel ivy bridge chips suitable use in new macbook pros.
digitimes, however, doesn't provide explanation discrepancy in production dates between 13" , 15" models. it's seems possible intel cpu availability may have timetable reported low power ivy bridge cpus won't ready until june. apple has typically used these low power cpus in macbook air line, macbook pro has been rumored adopting thinner , more air-like appearance.
previous reports claimed new macbook pros feature thinner design without optical drive. we've been hearing whispers kind of macbook air inspired design since april of last year.
